Day 1 – Robben Island & V&A Waterfront

Meeting point 1 (Ferry check-in):
Nelson Mandela Gateway (Clock Tower Precinct), V&A Waterfront, Cape Town, 8001
– Look for the Robben Island Museum ticket office inside the Gateway building (Clock Tower side).
 Arrive 60 minutes before your ferry time for check-in and security.

What you’ll do:

  • Take the ferry from the Nelson Mandela Gateway to Robben Island for a guided group tour.

  • Enjoy views of Table Mountain from the island.

Meeting point 2 (Waterfront exploring):
V&A Waterfront, Dock Rd, Cape Town, 8001
– After returning, explore the Waterfront’s shops, food market, and live entertainment at your own pace.

Getting back:
Make your own way back to your accommodation.


Day 2 – Table Mountain Cableway

Meeting point:
Table Mountain Aerial Cableway – Lower Station, Tafelberg Rd, Gardens, Cape Town, 8001
 Arrive 30–45 minutes early for queues and boarding.
– Weather can pause operations; check status on the morning of your visit.

What you’ll do:

  • Ride the rotating cable car to the summit for 360° views over Cape Town, Robben Island, and the Peninsula.

  • Walk signed pathways on top or relax at viewing points before descending.

Rest of day:
Free time for your own exploration (cafés, street markets, or the beach).


Day 3 – Kirstenbosch, Groot Constantia & Cape Peninsula (Self-Drive Route)

You’ll visit each stop independently; follow the order below for the smoothest flow.

Stop 1 – Kirstenbosch National Botanical Garden
Main Entrance (Gate 1): Rhodes Dr, Newlands, Cape Town, 7735
 Arrive at opening for cooler temps and fewer crowds.
– Collect/scan your garden entry at Gate 1 and enjoy a self-guided walk (don’t miss the Tree Canopy Walkway “Boomslang”).

Stop 2 – Groot Constantia Wine Estate
Visitor Centre / Manor House: Groot Constantia Rd, Constantia, Cape Town, 7806
– Park at the Visitor Centre area.
– Explore the historic estate; optional self-paced tasting available on site.

Scenic Drive – Chapman’s Peak
Enter from the Hout Bay Toll Plaza (Chapman’s Peak Dr, Hout Bay, 7806)

– Card accepted at toll. Stop at marked viewpoints. (not included)

Stop 3 – Hout Bay Harbour (optional Seal Island cruise)
Harbour Rd, Hout Bay, 7806
– Boat kiosks are along the harbour front. Arrive 20–30 min early for your chosen departure.

Stop 4 – Cape Point Nature Reserve (Cape of Good Hope section, TMNP)
Main Gate: Plateau Rd (M65), Cape Point, Cape Town, 7975
– Inside the reserve, drive to Cape Point Parking for the lighthouse trail (optional funicular tickets available at the base station).
– Continue to the Cape of Good Hope for photos.

Stop 5 – Boulders Beach Penguin Colony
Kleintuin Rd, Simon’s Town, 7995 (SANParks/TMNP entrance)
– Boardwalk access to the colony; pay entry at the gate.
– Wrap up and return to Cape Town via Simon’s Town → Muizenberg coastal route.

Good to know: Parking is available at all stops; rideshare works well for Day 1–2. For Day 3, a self-drive is strongly recommended.

  • Day 1: Robben Island morning ferry (arrive 60 min prior) → Waterfront lunch → free afternoon.

  • Day 2: Cableway morning (arrive 30–45 min prior) → free afternoon.

  • Day 3: 08:00 Kirstenbosch → 10:00 Groot Constantia → 11:30 Chapman’s Peak → 12:30 Hout Bay Harbour → 14:00 Cape Point → 16:30 Boulders → 18:00 return to Cape Town.
