Acrobranch

They have various obstacle courses in each of their parks, some for kids and some for reasonably fit adults and teenagers. World Of Birds

While In Cape Town, Taking The Kids To The World Of Birds Is An Absolute Treat! World of Birds is the largest bird park in Africa and one of the few large bird parks in the World. Over 3 000 birds (and small animals) of 400 different species are uniquely presented in tropical gardens, set in Hout Bay, Cape Town. It’s a great place to introduce school kids to nature since they get to walk amongst the winged animals and, therefore, learn about looking without disturbing.

Cool Running's Toboggan

A fun & adventurous outing for school groups (& parents) in Cape Town. Cool Running's is the only toboggan track in Africa. It’s a summer version of the thrilling winter sport but on steel instead of snow. V&A Waterfront

School Groups Delight In The Excitement & Activities At V&A Waterfront In Cape Town. The V&A Waterfront is the most popular tourist attraction in Cape Town - yes, more popular than Table Mountain! There's something at the Waterfront for everybody, including for a group of school kids. Take them on a boat ride (to Robben Island, perhaps?), seal spotting, to the Scratch Patch, on the Wheel Of Excellence, to the cinema or check on their website to see if they are showing any entertaining performances at the Amphitheater. If the kids get hungry, don't worry as the V&A Waterfront has a huge selection of restaurants and takeaway options. There’s also a play area with all sorts of interesting things, like pirate ships and jungle gyms near the food court.

There is no entrance fee to the V&A Waterfront, however you should consider costs such as parking, food and entertainment.

Paint Your Personalised Pottery At Clay Cafe . The Clay Café is an inviting spot for school groups and their accompanying older folk to channel their inner artists and indulge in a couple of serene hours painting their own piece of personalised pottery. Visitors get to choose one of the many ceramics available. The Clay Café also boasts a lovely children’s playground complete with a jungle gym, giant tire swing and a red-and-yellow mini climbing wall that all overlook the picturesque scene.

Kids Will Delight In Science Shows, Exhibitions, Workshops And Displays. With more than 250 interactive exhibits and mind-boggling puzzles, the Cape Town Science Centre is a world of discovery under one roof. School visits to the CTSC are suitable for all grades. Each visit should last at least 2 hours and booking is essential. A general visit includes a science show, use of interactive displays and a visit to the current exhibitions. A workshop visit includes a pre-booked workshop and a general visit. The CTSC School Programme is aligned with the National Curriculum and Assessment Policy Statement (CAPS) and the WCED work schedules.
