Shark Cage Dive Competition: Winner Announced Soon!

It's almost time to announce the winner for this year's shark cage dive competition!

As many of you may know, we held a competition for our valued followers to stand a chance of winning 2 free nights at Riverlodge Backpackers PLUS a free shark cage dive in Gansbaai, which is located just outside of Cape Town.

The competition ended on the 30th August and we are now in the process of choosing a winner, who will be announced this week. We are just as excited as all of our entrants to announce who that one lucky person is!

The winner will spend 2 nights in our self-catering hostel in Cape Town. We have a fully equipped kitchen where you can make your meals. If you don't feel like cooking, speak to our friendly staff at reception who will organise a catering service for you. If you'd prefer to get out, Cape Town city centre is about a 10 minute drive away with an array of restaurants to choose from.

The shark cage diving will happen the day after you arrive at Riverlodge Backpackers. Gansbaai is the best location for viewing Great Whites in the Western Cape and is also known as "Shark Valley". The winner may also be lucky enough to see Cape Fur Seals, Jackass Penguins, Whales and Dolphins.
